AEITB (Outlander Series Spoilers)
OK. The first bit of WIMOHB has me a little confused on the details.
Jamie is NOT dead from the ship. Is Jennie? Claire is married to John. Ian and Rachel are going to get married and Mr. Bug (is that right?) is dead now? I thought I remembered a scene where John and Jamie are fighting at the end of the book. Am I making that up? Is it not widely known that Jamie isn't dead?
Man I need a reread, like now.

Is it more that everyone knows that the ship sank assuming everyone else died and the last scene we find out the Jamie is, in fact, not dead? It's only been a few years since I read it, I'm a little embarrassed that these details are so foggy to me.
