So, I walk into the office for my Pre-op appointment, and there is a couple checking in, so I sit in a chair to wait my turn.
I quickly realized that I recognized the voice of the H. He isn't a friend of mine, but a close friend of my close friends H (if you can follow that). We played on the same kickball team, sat at the same table at our friends wedding, have attended numerous gatherings together, etc. I know this guy- his wife, too, but not as well.
They at directly across from me in the waiting area, and thus began one of the most awkward 5 minute periods of my life.
They were called in, and no one ever said anything. Should I have? Or was I right to go along with the eye contact avoidance?
So awkward!

We went to a seminar for another RE and ran in to a friend of DH's from high school. We all talked after about what we were going through and had tried, and it was really nice to meet them and talk. So if it happens again if I ever go back to the RE I will talk to them.
"I DO NOT love that you think so many things revolve around you. I know you're bitter. I get it. But I'm over your feelings." The best person on the internet ever!
So, once I was called back, I actually passed them in the hallway a couple of times, and then I saw them again as i was leaving. He was on the Hall phone outside of the blood lab, just as H was after our first appt, before heading in to do the blood tests.
This time, we made eye contact, waved, and said Hi. If he weren't on the phone, I would have stopped to chat briefly. I feel less awkward now!

I was fine with a polite nod or smile but she initiated a full on conversation in front of everyone else waiting. Questions like what was I there for that day, what have we done so far, what's our insurance cover, why not do more IUIs, etc. Awkward.
Every time she called for tech support after that it turned into a quiz about how treatment was going. On one hand it was nice to have another person to talk to, but she also really had no boundaries. Plus, even though she was undergoing treatment, she was pretty clueless about everything IF related.
She ended up getting pregnant with IUI. I quit that job and didn't tell her before leaving. I hope to never run into her at the RE again.
