Re: 27 Life Hacks Every Girl Should Know

  • I always look at these and think, "I need to do that."  It never happens, because I forget about it 20 seconds later.
  • I have a few to add, maybe not "life hacks" but tips i've learned:

    1.  always apply lip balm or chapstick before lipstick, gently blotting off the excess.  application will be smoother and lips will look more full
    2.  DON'T rub lips together after applying lipstick.  so many people do this and it can mess up the application and get lipstick on the inside of your lips, leading to the dreaded lipstick-on-teeth
    3.  shampoo is for your roots, conditioner is for the ends of the hair
    4.  NEVER EVER pump your mascara wand in and out of the tube.  that introduces air to the product and dries it out.  to get the product on the wand, just dip it in and swirl it around a few times
    5.  curl eyelashes 3 times, once at the base of the lash, once in the middle, and once at the end.  hold for 10 seconds each.

anyone else have some cool tricks??

Also tension rod under the sink for hanging spray bottles.  I saw it on HGTV once and have been meaning to do it.  Just never think to measure the space under my sink.
