AW: Baby Ethan

He finally slept through the night!!!! 2 nights in a row I should add. He is 3 1/2 months old and I have been looking forward to this day for weeks now. I'm so happy we have gotten a lot more sleep this weekend.

I just had to share with you ladies my excitement!

Re: AW: Baby Ethan

  • That is pretty darn exciting!
  • Way to go Ethan!! I can't wait for Levi to start sleeping through the night. Going back to work in 2 weeks is going to be rough.

It's been really hard with working but usually the rule in our house is H gets up first and we alternate after that. Also since H works construction if he is off work one day then he does night duty since he has time the next day to sleep. And every few weeks one of us will take the night shift so the other can catch up on sleep. It has still been rough but we made it work.

We always try to feed Levi right before going to bed (9ish).  He usually wakes up sometime between 1-4 after he goes down.  I have been doing that feeding since DH is working.  I also do the 5 or 6 a.m. feeding.  Once I go back to work we will probably alternate.  My DH also will be going to work later on Thursday (like 10ish) and will have Fridays off, so he will probably do the middle of the night feeding on Wed. and Thurs. nights until Levi sleeps through the night.  I probably will keep doing the  6 a.m. feeding since it will help me wake up.  Last night Levi had a 5.5 hour stretch of sleep, which was wonderful.  He typically only goes 3-4 hours.  Unfortunately I woke up in the middle of the 5.5 hour stretch.

It's the most exciting thing when they sleep through the night!! I do have to warn you though that T's sleep regressed when he started teething. My sweet little boy who used to sleep really long stretches started getting up 3-4 times a night. He did it last night for the first time in weeks. I was dead at work today.

Wow you are lucky! Ethan was still waking every 3 hours at that point. He just started giving us longer stretches around Christmas. And went straight from that to this. • Yay! LM is EBF, so I'm not counting on that happening for a long while for us. At 4 hours I feel like my boobs are going to burst!
