So Diesel is still taking meds for the issues that he had this past fall....some of you may remember he had an autoimmune disorder...but is almost done tapering off his Prednisone and doing much better. Except that he has decided to eat 4 of my non-disposable nursing pads (at least I'm 99.9% sure he did) and is the ER where he is spending the night being pumped full of fluids to try to get them through to his colon. He has a partial obstruction and if they don't move along we will be discussing surgery tomorrow morning. I'm so upset with him....but not nearly as upset as I am with myself for leaving them where he could get them. I pray these fluids work and he is home bring a lil PITA by tomorrow night!

    Thanks girls! They said no news overnight is good news, so I'm happy they haven't called us. They will re-X-ray soon and then we'll have to decide what to do.

    Thank you ladies. So after discussing with my real vet this morning I decided to decline an ultrasound they recommended (X-rays were inconclusive of whether it was food or foreign objects) and have them induce vomiting. And yay....he threw all 4 up! I'm now going to fight for some money back because we asked them to induce vomiting last night an were told it was too late. I also questioned X-rays as showing clearly that it was fabric, you know being as though I'm an X-ray tech...so they were worthless and if anything we should have just done ultrasound last night. Buuuutttt no matter what and most important my lil fur ball will be home with me tonight feeling better.

    Ugh how frustrating! Our dog Ella ate Annabelle's teething silicone toys when she was an infant and I was so mad at her and myself for leaving it out. Kids + dogs = trouble! Hide all your toys. We spend hundreds on vet bills trying to get it out and shes still having issues since she ate the toy but the toy has long passed.

    Thank you. He came home and headed right for our bedrooms to see what he could get into...obviously being forced to vomit didn't phase him! I was happy to have him back on the couch with me last night though!
