  1. Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?

  • My "first" guy totally messed me up with head games and just a terrible weird relationship. When I finally decided it was best for me to stop talking to him. I went a little wild and at the time I was disappointed in myself but now I have fun stories to laugh at and found a great guy I spotted pretty quickly because of all the stuff I went through.

  • My parents getting a divorce about a year and a half ago. I was so sad and mad that my dad was planning to go be with someone else who happened to live halfway across the country. The plus was that both my parents are happy now, my relationship with my dad is so much better and I gained a great addition to my family through his new wife and her girls.

  • I could probably think of a few, but the biggest was my ex-boyfriend.

5 years together left me moving back in with my parents, with dreams of marriage and a family certainly crushed.

He left me financially ruined, with more debt than I could have paid off in 10 years, even if every penny I made went to bills.

Did I mention he was now dating someone I considered a good friend?

I was convinced this was the worst thing that had ever happened to anyone.

Luckily, I had family who believes in me, even when I didn't, and I was encouraged to declare bankruptcy, which I did.

10 years later, I am married to the love of my life, in a Job I love, building our dream house, and taking steps to fill that house.

And when going through the mortgage process, found that my credit is considered almost excellent.

I fully believe none of this would be so if I hadn't had that experience.

I can honestly say that at the time, I thought the breakup was the worst thing that could happen. Now, I am so glad. It turned out to be a great thing.

And apparently I am a walking cliche haha.

  • I was heartbroken when my plans had to change from moving long term overseas to staying here for the forseeable future in 2007/8....but out of that has come meeting DH and now having a baby girl, which to be a mom had been my dream since childhood, so I really can't complain that God had other plans for my life then what I thought they were
