Where is everyone? What are you up to?

I had to work half of Saturday last weekend so I feel like I barely had a weekend. This week is dragging. We have a plumber coming this weekend because our washing machine drain pipe is overflowing/leaking and one of the showers is leaking somewhere too. Blah. I'm hoping the price tag is not too bad but H is worried we'll have to re-do the bathroom because of a stupid way they covered the access to the water with the sink/cabinets. The access might actually be covered by the cabinets/sink of the other bathroom since they are back to back? I'm not even sure :\

Re: Helloooooo

  • Thursday I worked 11 hours without a break. It was busy.

Friday I had off. Was Hs birthday and I met him for lunch (he went out with a bunch of his coworkers. Then we rented a couple of movies and did take out. It was just what he wanted. A fairly quiet birthday.

Didn't do anything significant Saturday but it was great! It was just great and I can't even think of why.

Sunday I worked. Came home and enjoyed the rest of the day with H.

Monday my period started and I went to get my blood drawn. Next Tuesday I go in again to find out the results, talk about more tests, and what it's going to take to have a kid.

I've read 2 books in 5 days. Both books were a Christmas gift from H. I really want a them to be made into movies. And I'm anxiously waiting for the 3rd book because I know there's more to the story.
  • @Quirky I hope the repairs aren't to costly.
  • All my days are starting to run together!

Thursday - hung out with H at home.  I have no idea what we even did.

    Friday - worked 5:30pm-9:30pm.

Saturday - worked 12pm-7pm.  Went over to a friends house and watched the Colts game.

Sunday - ran a couple of errands.  It was inventory at my part-time job (which was why the long hours on Saturday).  I worked 5:30pm - 3:30am.  It sucked!  I came home, went straight to sleep, and had to get up at 6am to go to work.

Monday - fell asleep on the couch at 7pm.  Woke up a little later, and watched the season premiere of Switched at Birth.  Went back to sleep right after that.  I'm just now catching up on sleep!

  • I just complained on our Facebook page that I haven't been able to post here in weeks. I would get through writing a long reply only to find out that it would not post! It would say "body required." I've complained to tech support like 4X now to no avail. Hoping this goes through! haa ha

My days are blurring together too - studying for an exam after work is very, very draining. Trying to be consistent with going to the gym and doing my Zumba at lunch 2 days a week. However, I think I got pink eye from the gym last Tuesday as I had jumped on an elliptical for 5 minutes without cleaning it since I was just waiting for my Zumba class to start. Then I wiped sweat from my face and eyes in the middle of Zumba - and wham - I have pink eye the next day! So be careful and make sure to wipe down those machines! :)
  • @erollis - what books did you read?
  • It's been busy for me as well. This past weekend we had a board games night with a couple friends. I saw August: Osage County and will be seeing American Hustle tonight. Normal work, volunteer and freelance stuff. And I started watching (and got hooked) on The Fosters and The Lying Game thanks to Netflix.
  • It has been slow around here! I have been completely swamped at work. Our incoming business is slow, but we have a bunch of new things that are requiring a lot of meetings and training. Plus I'm not a fan of change so this is tough on me!

Other than that, things are pretty boring!

  • Yay, activity!

@quirky75 I hope your repairs aren't too terrible. We've gone through those things and it sucks. Usually I just want to know the problem so I can map out the writing of the checks. :(

Our weekend was good. Friday I had to go to a funeral visitation for my editor's wife. Pretty sad, she was only 58. Then H and I went out to eat for our weekly pho Friday and we did a couple errands after. Saturday we went to the gym and then were bored so we went to some dive bars with friends and went home early. Sunday we went to a bunch of open houses even though we know we can't really start looking until we sell our house. But it was a nice day and it was just a good excuse to be outside a bit. That night I watched the Golden Globes. Sunday H leaves for about 7 straight weeks of travel time so we're just laying low this weekend.

  • I've had a sick baby so it's been a long week around here. And I swear every customer we've had at work has been an asshat. They're all making fools of themselves about deductibles and co pays.
  • @Idawngirl, I really like the Lying Game.

I read Earth Unaware and Earth Afire. They tell the story of the first Formic War. They are prequel to Enders Game.
