Good news

Yesterday I had an appointment to discuss my labs from last week.  (I know I've posted about this before, but for those of you just tuning in, I have an autoimmune disorder.  Basically, my immune system gets all confused and attacks my kidneys and my body is unable to retain protein.)  Anyway, since my labs have been completely normal since October, I don't have to go in monthly for labs anymore!!!  He told me I can just come in if I start having symptoms again.  This makes me so happy!  I really didn't want to have to go in monthly, for the rest of my life, pee in a cup and have blood drawn.  Fingers crossed that I don't relapse!

Another plus is that I wasn't entirely thrilled with my kidney doctor to begin with.  He dismissed a lot of the things I said.  Like I told him I've had a lot of problems since I've been off prednisone.  That I've had days I just can't get out of bed and cry all day for no reason.  He just said, "That happens to some people," and that was it.  So, if something does happen again I can pick my doctor and not just go to one that I was referred to.

I'm just really happy and was excited to share!
