When eating out with your parents/IL's who pays?

I'm really curious to see this because my brother and I have different opinions on this.

My ILs almost always pay for us but we will occasionally pick up the check. We almost always split it when we go out with my parents though. Sometimes my mom will treat but that's rare.

Depends on the day. Often FIL will pay for us, sometimes we'll get it. With my mom it goes about half and half with her paying and us paying.

We usually pay for our mom's dinner unless we're out celebrating something then it depends on the circumstance. I was out two weeks ago with my mom and my brother and he picked up the check.

We tend to go out with my parents more often than my ILs just because my ILs don't like to leave the house for hardly anything. Either way, our parents almost always pick up the check, but it is never expected and we always try to pay for ourselves.

My in-laws always pay if we go with them...they have money...we don't. My parents are just as poor as we are so we don't go out with them. We do go over to their place for dinner but usually bring something to contribute.

Whoever we are celebrating doesn't pay. So sometimes we pick it up and sometimes them. Otherwise it's normally separate checks.

It all depends with my dad he always pays and I don't feel bad about it because he missed a lot of my life and he has the money. My mom however it's usually 50/50 sometimes it's split or they pay and we have picked up the check a few times. My brother disagrees and thinks he should never have to pay. With IL's we have always paid for FIL because they don't ever get out so we have to invite them out and it's usually a special occasion. MIL however would always pay because she usually had gift cards and what was left was always like $10.

My parents always pick up the check. We try to pay and sometimes they say do the tip. Right now they are doing pretty well financially so I don't really feel bad. Hopefully, one day we can return the favor. Our IL's never go out so thats easy. lol!

My mom and I often have lunch together and we usually trade off who pays. If her BF comes out with us, they pay. When we have gone together, they paid once, we split once and we have paid. When we have gone out with my dad and hi wife, it depends. When we go with H's family, they pay because they never see us and they love to spoil us.

My parents and ILs always pay for us, even though we always try to pay. The only time they've let us pay is when we're taking them out for Mother's or Father's Day.

Inlaws pay pretty much everytime we eat with them....drives hubby nuts cuz we want to pay sometimes...but with my parents.....we almost always end up having to pay...it sucks but...neither set is fiancially sound enough to pay everytime.
