I've never met this person but the pain she's going through is very real to me. It's my worst nightmare and can't even fathom...wish there was more that can be done. All I could do was hug my little girl, who is a bit younger than her little angel, and cry. I vowed to embrace every tantrum she gives me because I'm sure this mom would die a thousand deaths to have another fight with her little girl.

I'm devestated for her and her family....

@alexisanna44 I am. I assumed people have heard about her story. I only lurk at "the other place" but recall seeing Pixy's name when she posted on The Nest.

Does anyone know how she got a perforated intestine? Is that what made her ill?

All I understood was that there was an injury at daycare that didn't seem terribly awful originally. The next day all hell broke loose. Now they've confirmed that there's no hope so the family has decided to let her go peacefully and to donate her organs. It's a truly awful situation regardless of the cause.

I am so sad for her and her family. It is amazing what the C&E board/GBCN boards have done. One thread said they had raised close to $20,000.

I am thinking of the family and wishing them peace.

A mom on the parenting board found out her daughter has leukemia this week as well. I am not sure how the fundraising is going for her but I know she has to take weeks of unpaid leave to spend at least a month in the hospital with her little girl.

I am so sorry for the vagueness. I was heartbroken for her and pretty lost for words. I wanted to post more but my phone was taken away by the little girl and we had appointments. Sorry, for the original post and run. She definitely needs our thoughts and prayers....
