Happy Monday friends. How was your weekend?
Mine was good. Nothing terribly exciting happening in this house.
H set his alarm at 5:35 to go run. Except it went off and woke me up as well as the dogs and he went back to sleep. Grr H Grr

I love jackets too, but I am too cheap to buy them. I swoon frequently.
I have off today! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm trying to finish up a paper so we can submit it soon. But, I'm going to put on Maury to entertain me!
Those are some shelves, jlq!

Hey quick question how do you like your Microsoft surface? I am looking at getting a new computer. I want more function than a tablet but not sure if a laptop is worth it.
Morning Gals! We had a pretty low key weekend as well. We went car shopping on Sat. I might be in a new car by the weekend. We shall see if the dealer can find one with all the opitions we want. Than H went skiing and I did some scrapbooking with my SIL. 2013 is almost complete, only 3 more pages left!! Sunday we took down the christmas tree (I know its late but I have been sick and we have not been home!) and watched football. I was of course excited that NE is out because I hate them. I was disappointed the SF lost because I am not a huge Seattle fan! They seem to be a bucnh of punk a$$es. I also don't like the fact that Lynch left the Bills, insulted my hometown and turned into a completely different RB. He was never that good for the Bills!
Aggie: Maybe make the dog bisquits Valentines Day presents instead of Christmas! That way they won't be late. I love the idea and I am sure they will be appreciated.
Joy: Hi!!! Enjoy your day off.
JLQ: Love those shelf! Looks amazing! Good luck with the cows heart, yuck!
Overall, I think it's a good investment. I leave my laptop at work a lot and just use the Surface at home. I keep the files I need in my SkyDrive so I have access to everything. It also has a USB drive! I think it's a great hybrid laptop/tablet and excellent for portability. So much more useful than an iPad.
I have the first generation Surface. I want to throw it out the window and upgrade to the Surface 2. Truthfully, it's biggest problem is my inability to understand Windows 8 RT. (RT is the pared down Windows 8 specifically for the first generation Surface. It's very limited in functionality). I could fix so many issues with it if I understood the operating system. I think if I sat down and really learned it, it would be worth gold. Or, if I wiped it and put on full Windows 8, then it would be grand.
If we had a Microsoft Store here, I'd take it there in a hot second to fix it up the way I want.
Aggie - I would be irritated by that as well. DH always hits the snooze button which normally isn't an issue since I get up before him but on days like today where I have off, I get irritated.
Hi degrea! Congrats on almost finishing your scrapbook!
Joy - enjoy Maury and your day off. You are NOT the father!
I had to work all day on Saturday (8-4) which was awful but I have today off so that helps. Today, I bought myself a day pass to our local community center and went for a run. Now my legs feel like J-E-L-L-O and my lungs feel like they are going to explode. Turns out not running for 3 months puts a strain on your endurance. But now I can sit on my ass the rest of the day and not feel guilty about it!

I'm starting "Ease into the 10K" for about the fifth time. I actually made myself a training schedule.
I've run two 5Ks with my good friend from college and both times I've gotten terrible terrible headaches afterwards because I hadn't trained properly. She wants to do another one in the middle of March, so I'm over-preparing and planning to be able to go for 10K by then.
Today is day 2 of my training... ha. But! I could start on Week 2 of the program and feel very good!

Our weekend was good. We had some more visits from people who hadn't yet met ds2. I didn't accomplish as much as I wanted to around the house but that's life with two now I guess. Hopefully my evenings this week are good and I can get a lot accomplished.
Jlq - I love those shelves! Your h did an awesome job!
