Ovulating after Follistim with no trigger shot

All my history is in my siggy to help keep this short.

I've been taking OPK's since last Monday, two days before my last u/s.  Monday night and Tuesday morning was almost positive, but not 100% there.  Ever since, the line has gotten lighter and lighter.  Now this mornings was practically blank.  I had a good amount of cramping and bloating from Tuesday until Saturday, so I'm wondering if maybe I already ovulated...?  Would they have been able to see that in my last u/s?  My RE said I would ovulate on my own and I would feel it, so I'm wondering if the cramping I had was from me ovulating or from the injections and the follies growing.  I'm not taking a trigger shot but I'm worried, if I haven't ovulated and I don't, that those follies will turn into cysts.

I'm waiting on a call back from my RE but just wanted to see if anyone here has any experience with this.

  • If you weren't temping, I doubt there is a way to know without blood work and/or an ultrasound. FX you did! It is weird to me that your RE said you would feel ovulation. Not everyone does.

I think he said I would because of how many follies I have.

  • There's really no way to know without temping or bloodwork.  Can your RE get you in for b/w and u/s?  I'd keep abstaining or using condoms until you can confirm though just to be safe.

  • You might already have your answers from bloodwork, but I will share anyway. When I overstimmed my first time on follistim, I had something like 14 follies and didn't feel ovulation. I don't really know what happened, if I ovulated or not. I had light bleeding for a few days a week after my last dose. A week after that, my ovaries were "resting" per ultrasound. No cysts. Hopefully you can get your next cycle started soon.
