  • We play paintball when we can afford to. That's about it. Other than volleyball and horseshoes with friends in the summer.

  • We both work out (running, lifting), and when it's nice out we play tennis.  Not a lot of time in our schedules for organized sports, unfortunately :(

  • Not anymore. I used to play soccer in a coed league when I first moved to DC. Until I got pregnant, I was running a few days a week. Now, I just gestate.

  • H played football in high school and I never played any sports.  I have no desire for that sort of activity.  H has never mentioned wanting to play any sports, but I wouldn't put it past him.

  • H doesn't play sports. I played soccer up until last summer, but I dislocated my hip so that nixed that. I also played basketball and baseball in highschool.

  • I was never into sports of any kind, and I never will be.  It's just not my thing.  DH lives and breathes sports.  When we first started dating he used to play 4 nights a week of softball and 2 nights a week of volleyball, then he'd often have tournaments on weekends.  We bought a house together and that cut it down to 3 nights a week, then we got married and that cut it back to 2 nights a week.  During the winter he plays boot hockey once a week.  And when he's not playing something he's watching it on TV.  It's like sports overload for me!

  • Nope!  I played field hockey in HS, intermural soccer in college, and come kickball post-college... nothing lately.  H used to run track, and softball in Korea... but he's lazy post-army.

This is SO my H too! He claims he has run enough to last his lifetime in the 8 years he was in the Army. 8-|

Hahah yup!  H did 10  years.  But now he's all worried about gaining weight.  Of course he cuts out soda and loses 10 lbs!  He did have a gym membership, he went 2 times in 1 year.

  • No sports for me. I attempted soccer in middle school but I sucked at it. Now I work out, run, etc. H played soccer growing up and will play occasionally now if he has time along with snowboarding.

  • I was a swimmer for 10 years and so I trained anywhere from 20 up to 40 hours per week (two-a-days) so now sometimes I will purposely not work out bc it reminds me of when I had to always be at practice, like every second of every day.  My shoulders/rotator cuffs are shot, & I'm slowly learning how to have fun working out again and not associate it with the burn-out I had.  If you sit next to me while I do upper body workouts, you could probably hear my shoulders popping, it's super gross  :-&

  • Nope! We attempt to work out and try to at least walk several miles around our new neighborhood on the weekends but or sports activity is limited to the Wii games with SD :)

  • We both played sports growing up.  I played ice hockey and ran track in high school.  H played baseball but didn't continue after high school.  H will watch pretty much any sport on TV, but neither of us play anything.

  • He played a bunch growing up. I think as a littler kid he played baseball or softball, and then in high school he played football and was on the wrestling team, but no idea when.

I played zero sports growing up, and considered P.E. class to be absolute hell. One time when a doctor told me I should lose some weight when I was in middle school, I tried it out for the school's volleyball team. It was embarrassing. Needless to say, I didn't make it, and that was the end of my childhood athletic career.

In recent years, I've had on-and-off success with running. I'm currently at "off". DH doesn't work out much anymore either.

  • I am very much NOT a sports person and never have been, but I do go to the gym fairly regularly.

H was a big football star in high school. He doesn't play anymore due to injury, so he's taken up bowling, golfing, and softball instead. It's funny; to look at us you wouldn't think he'd be the athletic one in the couple, but he is WAY more athletic than I am.

  • Just on tv, lol. DH loves sports but isn't athletic at all. He's short and round and really not built right for anything. Occasionally he will play tennis with a coworker and he "plays" basketball at the Y about 2-3 times a week. He also does go to the gym 4-5 days a week (he is actually there now!). I wish I was as devoted as him because I would probably be really skinny if I was.

I do nothing. I try to go to the gym enough to pay for my membership but it's hard with my work schedule. I am down to pretty much walking on the indoor track at this point too. Maybe when I am on maternity leave. During non-peak hours they allow strollers on the indoor track, or I can wear LO in the Moby wrap!
  • Both of us danced. I took lessons from age 10 or 11 up until I graduated high school. I was in ballet for all those years. During high school, I did jazz, pointe and participated in a competition team. During college, DH took ballroom lessons. (When he and I first met, he'd come to the store I worked at in the mall before or after going to lessons) That detail definitely came in handy on our wedding day.

  • Okay, I do have to change my answer to say I took dance for 15 years. I loved it so much, I definitely miss it!!

  • I swam and played tennis in high school, DH played hockey in high school until he hurt his leg and was out of school a whole year. Now neither of us do anything. And I can say I am lucky enough that he is not interested in watching any sports at all.
