   If you truly feel you need a cleaning service, & your schedules just don't allow you to get to your housework to live comfortably, & you can afford it, then I'd say go for it! I can totally 'get' feeling weird being home, while someone else is cleaning your house, but I'd rather that than live in a mess! I wouldn't feel guilty about wanting some organization in my home life!

  I'd probably feel uncomfortable too, but hey, you're paying them!  Don't worry about it.  I could never hire a cleaning service because I'd just end up cleaning before the maid got there!

  I just actually did this as well. I wanted a deep cleaning, I was home as well. I saw her getting down and dirty into the corners etc. But I don't know, I felt like I did a better job and it was a waste of my money. I have time to clean, but wanted her to do the stuff I hated, blinds, windows etc. She did it, just not up to my standards. I did this months back too, same outcome. I did research for my 2nd time, got awesome reviews for the girl who came. Do I just expect too much? Lol And OP if you have the $ to do it, go for it! If you like her work, keep it up. I can see why it would feel weird being home, but its all good. People do that all the time.
