Hi ladies!!!

We made it to MD last Thurs! Our internet has been set up and the furniture was delivered! So nice to not be sitting on the floor!

I can't believe that we haven't even been here a week, and the DC metro area is getting the biggest snowstorm in 3 years! So much for the warm welcome! I can't believe that one of the reasons we moved here was to escape the harsh upstate NY winters, and now DC is getting this huge snowstorm!

H starts his job next Wed, so we're taking this week to get settled and then I'll be back to thesis writing next week.

Welcome to the DMV! Sucky about the storm, but at least it gives you the opportunity to get more done inside the house, right? Plus, it really isn't ever like this here! Remember, worst storm in 3 years? Keep thinking about that, plus spring starts like mid-March here

Glad you made it! And if the snow down there is anything like it is in NYC, I'd say try to not take the welcome too personally.

Just see it as a chance to get to know which pizza places by you take delivery really seriously, ha ha.

We get a bad winter or two then 3-4 mild ones... Its definitely better than NY. Although it took me 2 hours to go 25 miles today.

I'm happy to hear that you've made it to Maryland. I hope that you are settling into your new townhouse and making it yours and H's. The storm is pretty bad here in NY also, so don't feel bad. Hopefully you won't have to deal with another storm for 3 years

Thanks ladies!

We're settling in and most things are unpacked...well, all the important stuff is unpacked LOL.

Today is my first day "back at work" LOL. I'm still getting used to the whole thesis writing from home thing. It's hard not to get distracted, but H starts his job on Wed so it'll be more quiet then (right now he's upstairs unpacking some boxes and it sounds like a heard of elephants up there LOL).

Now I'm off to catch up on what's going on on the board while I eat some lunch : )
