Re: Book Club Monday

  • I finished Sultry with a twist - Macy Beckett yesterday.  It was good, I cried at parts, but I blame hormones.  The Author is on NBC and it was fun to read the acknowledgements and see that even though I already knew.

Started Shadowfever - Karen Moning (Fever #5).  I have high hopes for this!  Although the beginning is usually a long monologue to catch up.  Finally into some action now!

Listening to Blood Promise - Richelle Mead (VA#4).  So far so good!
    Eliza Mae - September 16th, 2014

  • I finished Doctor Sleep (was sooo good) and am now reading Night Shift, also by Stephen King.  I'm kind of weird, I don't really like dramatic fiction, I am more into horror/thrillers and also the classics.  I am a big fan of Nabokov, Solzhenitsyn, Edgar Lee Masters, Poe, Mark Twain...trying to get back into the swing of reading again and re-discovering authors that I loved before law school took over my brain!

  • I finished Exposed by Susan Vaught over the weekend. It ended up being pretty good, though not much happened until the last 50 or so pages.

I am currently reading The Visibles by Sara Shephard and not loving it. I'm about 30% of the way through and hoping it gets better.

I'm listening to Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and LOVING it!

  • I read Someone to Love, finished it yesterday. I'm now reading Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick (Hush, Hush #4). It's good! I'm sad it's the last book in the series :(

Aaah, it moves a little slow, but I'm really loving it. Have you read any of Rainbow Rowell's other books?

  • @WillyH19 Just Eleanor and Park so far. I read the summaries for both of her other books and opted for that one.

  • I finished The Art of Racing in the Rain and absolutely loved it. It is now on my favorite book list and books to recommend to people. Did I tell you that I loved it?

Now I am reading Allegiant. It was a bit hard to get into for the few chapters but now it's getting good. I also downloaded the audio book of Where did you go Bernadette? I haven't started it but that's further than I got with the other audio books I borrowed from the library.
