Thoughts on a snow day....

I know the closets in my last house were the same way, but am I the only one who finds it odd that small closets (like hall linen closets) have door knobs on the inside?

  • That is odd. I think they need to be there in order to function? I have to look at one of my closets.

  • I never thought about it. Probably a functional thing. Or for anyone who goes inside.

  • Oh and no snow here. It was 63 today. Lily and I had fun outside. I think we brought the warm weather with us from Oklahoma.

  • Yeah, it's going to be cold her again. Expecting some sort of weather related cancellation again tomorrow. Just going to extend my weekend from a 4 to a 5 day one...

I thought about that, but I have two small closets where with the shelving in place, no human could actually stand between the door and the shelves.

The funny thing is our pantry had a locking door knob on it.  Why would you want to lock yourself in?

  • I just looked at mine. I think in order to function and turn, you need to have a knob on the back. It's part of how the mechanism works. If you have ones that don't turn, then you don't need the back part. I have one of those in my house. All the rest turn and have a knob on the back.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that from a logical standpoint, it doesn't make sense to have a knob on the inside of a small closet. :P

  • No, you are right, it doesn't!
