My husband has a job offer in Silicone Valley, CA. His family lives in our Phoenix and my family lives in Denver. Is it worth moving for a better career move if we won't have any family close by? We are planning on starting a family in about a year.
Re: Move for Work?
It all depends on what is important to you.
We moved about 2 hours away for a job that paid way more than what I was making before and we were able to buy a much better house because of it.
But, I'm not that attached to any location, I don't mind traveling to see family, and we don't have kids.
If being close to family is a priority you'll definitely need to think long and hard about making a move like that.
@isacfritz Thank you, that was really helpful! He ended up getting an offer from a different company locally so we decided to stay, it was definitely a tough decision! Good luck with everything in California!
Thank you to everyone else who chimed in too!
