Guys this book KILLED me. I cried during church last night, and I'm sure everyone was like "Aw, she's having a spiritual moment" but really I was thinking about Harry's parents and Sirius and Lupin appearing in the woods and Harry saying "Will you stay with me" and Lily saying "Till the very end." I could cry right now just thinking of it. And SNAPE. OMG.

Isn't it amazing? It's in my top 5 all time favorite books ever. It's truly just THAT good.

Snape killed me. He's one of my favorite characters in the series. I despised him for so long and then suddenly loved him.

The whole Snape thing was such a mind-f to me. I felt emotionally drained after finishing this series. But, in the best way possible

Emotionally drained is a good description.

I'm still torn on Snape. Luke and I had this long discussion last night on whether or not he's a "good guy". I have so much sympathy for him. And I love the ambiguity of his character. I love him as a character, but not as a person if that makes sense. I still resent some of his choices and how he treated Harry. But I love that he's not a straightforward good or bad.

I re-read this series almost yearly...and it's really all just a build-up to that final battle. SO MUCH EMOTION!

For a long time after this ended, I was a Snape hatred too. I've come to realize just how conflicted he was and it's softened me toward him. I'll never like how rotten he was to Harry. At all. But I know what it is to feel that crushing disappointment when all your dreams fall down around you. So maybe I can understand how it can make you brittle, bitter, and unbending. Add rampant guilt to the mix and it will either break you or harden you. So I get it.

Can I just say how jealous I was of you during your read? I wish I could read the series for the first time again.

I reread in October and now I want to reread again after reading this lol.

I love Snape's character and am always conflicted with him. I love rereading the series though and understanding new things about him and other characters/events. She ties the whole series together so well.

I cried so hard at "Till the very end." I always tear up thinking about it.

In the entire series, that line is still my favorite.

And then when you re-read it, and you realize that in the dedication JKR dedicated the book to you, if you have stuck with Harry until the very end?

I cried through most of the last book. Shoot, I bawled when Hedwig died...when Dobby died and then that line at the end. The book slayed me!

It will always be my most favorite series and I need to read it again!
