Re: Broken Ute/Crappy Sperm Check-In!!

  • Just temping and hoping my body does something.  Also doing some of the PCOS diet to maybe make things work, but I'm not feeling hopeful about it.  My Dr wants me to come in if this cycle goes to 90 days, and we'll run some bloodwork again. He wants to see if anything has changes since the loss.

QOTW: Fill In The Blanks: When 3T gets to be too much to bear, my go-to for feeling better is going for a run and just crying.  I know if I don't deal with it that way, then I'll eat my feelings.

  • Good luck tomorrow @sweetpotato123

I've been sewing like a madwoman and eagerly counting down to our trip. I was in to see a nurse practitioner this morning for my annual check-up and she gave me a tetanus and measles/mumps shot and told me I cannot get pregnant for the next 3 months.  I told her that shouldn't be a problem
    ;)

  •  @sweetpotato123 - GL to you tomorrow! Out of curiosity, how come they're not starting you on estrogen supplements now, with this cycle? I had the same problem with my lining with the second IUI/meds cycle (borderline on the first), and they started me on estrogen (a tablet vaginally) that same cycle. Obviously, everybody's different but just wondering! Hoping for the best for you!

Updates: I am expecting to O' this weekend, and (FFC) have been sexting DH (for the first time ever) since we haven't seen each other because of my job since Sunday. That is so stinking fun... not sure why it took us 6 years to figure that out! Looking forward to some crazy ST. :) Also, continuing on supplements, green tea, and charting/OPK's. So far, no side effects at all from the DHEA (was a little nervous with everything I was reading about acne, facial hair, deeper voice - yikes!), but hoping it's not because it is still too soon in the game!

QOTW: Fill in the blanks: When 3T gets to be too much to bear, my go-to for feeling better is having a nice glass (or bottle) of wine.

  • Still on Lupron but I have a suppression check tomorrow. If my ovaries are quiet, we will start estradiol to thicken up my ute. Moving in the right direction! I'm sick of shots.

I don't know that 3T has been too much to deal with yet. I mean, I have my sad/psycho moments, but I don't know, I guess I've always kept hope. A BFN this time, though, might do it. I'm really scared of what it would do to me. I'm in a good place and am truly afraid that this will be 900 steps backwards if it doesn't work.

  • @amandaf6383 - Just before Christmas, we converted to a (mostly) vegan/gluten free diet, lots and lots of supplements, essential oils, exercise, and will be doing acu eventually, so if you need anyone to commiserate with or share recipes or whatever, I'm here for you! Our main reason is to help with DH's MS, but I'm very hopeful it'll help with my PCOS, weightloss, and nonexistant cycles. Time will tell!  All that to say, YOU CAN DO THIS!

  • @amandaf6383 Good luck with your diet! Hope you are able to get some results!

Me: HSG came back normal!!! I got like 6 vials of blood taken this morning from the Endo. I have an appt to see her in two weeks and will hopefully get some answers to move forward. OB called me yesterday and said that once I'm on meds/have a plan with Endo, she will start me on Clomid.

I'm still in the beginning phases of 3T so not much right now. I do already know that I use sweets to comfort myself, and I need to work on that.

  • Update: DH and I had a long talk on Monday (before shit hit the fan Tues), and we decided that if I respond well to meds this time (5+eggs at retrieval...our numbers), then we will do another round in June (total OOP) if BFN. If I do not respond well, we will not do another round of IVF if BFN. I'm okay with the decision. DH does not want to do donor anything, so we would start the adoption process later this year. Of course, I am hoping for a BFP, but we are on the same page, and that's all that matters.
I am still on BCP until 1/29, and it's making me crazy poppies. I hate BCP so much. Injects should be here tomorrow!

QOTW: Cry to DH, who is so patient and kind. I am a lucky lady.

AW: DH bought me a pretty necklace when he was in NYC from my favorite place. He is so sweet. He wanted to buy this for our wedding, but I wouldn't let him spend the money. He went back and bought it for me "because you've put your body through a lot, and you're doing it again." love him!
