Question about credit report

I just got my credit report and was looking it over. My score is still good, but the first score factor listed on 2 out of 3 reporting agencies was "Too many deliquencies". Um, what does this mean?? I have never had a missing or late payment on anything EVER in my life, since my credit "history" started in 2000. I have poured over the entire report and everything looks fine... Any ideas on what this could mean or how to improve the score?

I started thinking maybe it's referring to open accounts, but I don't think I have too many accts open? We have 2 checking/savings accts, 1 credit card (will be paid off after taxes, very small balance anyway), 2 car loans, and a mortgage (just opened this past summer when we moved). Oh and a Sears card. But that's it. The Sears card will be paid off as soon as taxes are done as well, but that's it. Any ideas?

Are all the accounts listed on your credit score yours, or has somebody else been using your name? A delinquency to me means past due. But this can also be something besides a credit card. Are you paying rent/water/car payments on time too? If you miss any of those by 1 day your account it delinquent.
(Just my understanding, I could be wrong. Hopefully somebody who is more sure will see your post and respond too)

My understanding is the same as Vikingsfan's. I hope I am wrong, but I would be concerned about identity theft if you're truly on-time with all of your payments. It's pretty common, and usually quickly resolved once you realize it. One thing I would check for is if you accidentally had any silly, tiny bills sent to collections. My poor H once was sent to collections because he forgot to send payment for a $20 magazine subscription.

It's so weird.. I think I'm going to have to do some calling. There was nothing odd on my credit report, I've never co-signed for someone else, and we both have LifeLock which monitors everything. I've never been a day late on ANY kind of payment so none of that either. It's just really weird. I'll definitely call around and see what I can find out. Good call on the collections thing for silly stuff. I can't think of anything, but I'll do some digging! Thanks y'all!

I would run your credit report with each credit reporting agency and make sure it isn't just a fluke with one agency.

Some places will flag you as being deliquent if you pay in the window between the due date and the late date. It is best to make sure that all of your payments are early.

I'm confused, you don't get your credit score with your credit report from annualcreditreport.com. This is the only site you should be using to pull your credit reports. Do not pay for your reports. You can view your report and dispute anything for free.

On a side note: Get rid of LifeLock, its a waste of money and pretty much a scam.
