Re: 10 Things Tuesday

  • 1. I brought my slipper socks with me to work. Loving it!

    2. I think my work should have canceled routes today because of the cold. We still could have had the office open.

    3. I've managed me time so well today that I have done a lot more than usually. I should slow down so they don't think this is a new thing.

    4. I got paperwork about my insurance and about a mail order prescription drug company they go through, but not my card. I'm suppose to be insured starting Saturday and I wanted to go get my blood test done.

    5. I have a feeling my levels still aren't low enough. Don't know why, just a feeling.

    6. I'm less sleepy today than I have been lately. I wonder if DH coming to bed late (he was on 2nd shift for 2 weeks) has been the problem.

    7. DH back on 3rd shift means warm car for me in the morning!

    8. My sister made a team for the March of Dimes walk in my area.

    9. Boss is still breathing down my neck. Lay off!

    10. She doesn't realize I can see what she's doing too.

Can you call and ask them to email a temporary card? Mast companies will do that, or they have a website you can log on to and print one out.

  • @nightmare_of_beauty Jealous of your slipper socks!

    1. The "feels like" temp right now is -15. It's gotten warmer.

    2. It's 1 and I still haven't had my lunch, because I'm not excited about it.

    3. I wish I would've brought leftover buffalo chicken for lunch instead.

    4. My new desk got delivered this morning, and I'm all set up at it. Horray for finally having some sort of functionality.

    5. Ugh, taxes. Need I say more?

    6. H and I discussed IF treatment last night, and he's okay with doing everything we need to do to try and get pregnant. YAY! 9 months ago it was a no to assistance and only 1 shot at Clomid.

    7. Still means 18-24 months until any treatment again, but at least he's open to it now.

    8. I'm still using my Christmas coffee mug at the office, because it's the only one that holds enough coffee.

    9. Can't wait to get home and read my book.

    10. Maybe I'll go heat up my lunch now.

  • 1) I am super happy I only had a part day at work today.

    2) while I was at work, my day was really sucky. I had a patients needle come out and she sprayed blood everywhere.

    3) I would love to take a nap.

    4) I'm hoping I can get R to go out for supper tonight.

    5) It annoys me when people use xo excessively, especially when you wouldn't normally hug of kiss the person at the point that you use it.

    6) I have to go get my coworkers (and friend) son off the bus at 2:45

    7) it's cold outside and I'm dreading leaving the house to get him.

    8) I made a jello cake (poke cake) yesterday and I'm doing everything I can not to eat the whole thing.

    9) R has been sleeping on the couch and I secretly love it.

    10) at the same time I miss snuggles before we fall asleep and first thing in the morning. :-(
  • @RockABye- a mental health day does one really good sometimes. Is there any way you could take a planned day off and just relax? Maybe you won't feel as guilty then. Take a day and just do a few things you enjoy, sleep in, read a book, get your nails done. Etc.

That's the problem.. if I feel good, I will not relax and take it easy. Can't. I've tried.  I have so much to do that I feel guilty or bored if I don't DO something. I have every other Friday off and I can't relax. And "strangely", things always get scheduled for my days off anyway.  For some reason, my body is stuck in overdrive. That's why I need to feel crappy so I'm forced to chill and then I won't feel guilty for lounging around. It sounds so stupid, but it's sadly the truth. I've never been a lay around and chill kinda girl though, and I hate naps.. such a waste of daylight! :) I have problems.. I know. haha

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

You aren't the only one like this.  Sitting still?  What's that?  I even love to read, but can't stand to sit down for longer than 30 minutes at a time to read it.  The only time I ever "relax" is if I'm really sick.

Ayup! That's me!! I couldn't play hooky if I tried because I would just be running around trying to do things and then I would feel so guilty about not going to work that I would end up working from home. Ugh the annoyance of being a stellar employee!

  • 1. It's hard to type because my fingers are covered in butter from my Homestyle popcorn I made for lunch.

    2. My great aunt died yesterday. She had cancer and the tumor came back and chemo was not working this second round.

    3. My uncle died this morning.  He had a stroke in the beginning of the month and never came home from the hospital.

    4. Both the funerals are on Saturday. I'm stoked because I only have to drive the two hours to my hometown once, but I'm frightened to have to do two funerals in one day.

    5. My parents gave me their Old Navy $$ from their Christmas shopping. I bought myself two new shirts with it.

    6. I purchased a skeleton romper for $.97.  It's the first CBH purchase I've made since before we did our IVF.

    7. I have a student teacher right now and I love going to work knowing that I get to do other things while she's teaching!

    8. I shave my legs/underarms more for my trainer than I do for my husband.

    9.I love this popcorn.

    10. I have a vacation planned for the week after school is supposed to be out.  With the plethora of snow days we've had, I'll likely have to use personal days to take off. I ain't losing out on my money/deposits we've put down.

I go to Malibu for a few days (alone) each year on my birthday to just destress and relax. It's amazing. If I stayed home I'd end Up cleaning, running errands etc. I can't relax at home. Take a Friday and go out of town. It's seriously worth it.
