Anybody else?  Technically we're opening at noon, but I may not make it.  In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm calling in rural today.  The side roads are covered still.  My boss called me at 7:30 this morning because he knew I had a 9:30 meeting scheduled and he didn't want me to risk trying to come in for it so he's going to meet with them for me.  They're with the Virginia Historical Society and just coming to look at artifacts, so no biggie, but I'll admit I was looking forward to meeting them and networking.  DH's job may take us to Richmond one day and the more contacts I have in the field the better!

    Yup. Another snow squall here. We have been getting them every other day or so. Except both yesterday and today we are being nailed.
    It means no swim lessons for Alex. No mall walk for Me. I really need to get out of this house.

    We have snow :) We get one snow a year, just a few inches. I always call out of work but they actually closed today because the roads are frozen.

    I'm in Rocky Mount.  The transportation museum is opening at noon, and I noticed that the Science Museum is too.  I feel badly for the guys who came down from Richmond yesterday...they have to drive back in the aftermath today.  I'm just glad I wasn't the only reason they were here!

    DH and I got an inadvertent "cold" day yesterday because we were gone in Texas for a week with the orchestra and it had been so cold that when we got back all 3 of our cars had died (2 dead batteries and 1 frozen starter)...we waited it out yesterday hoping one of them would start but finally gave up this morning and called AAA.

    No more snow so far, although we randomly lost power for an hour today. I think more is on the way tonight, but I've stopped paying attention. Weather's gonna do what weather's gonna do.

    Schools in our area (central Ohio) were on 2 hour delays all last week and cancelled Monday through Wednesday this week.  The kids are finally back to school today.  I took yesterday off work to watch them because I was jealous that my husband kept getting to stay home.  He can work for home easily and I can't.  We have snow but most of the delays and cancellations are due to the cold temps.  Its fun at first but gets old after awhile when you have to figure out what to do with your kids since they won't be in school and you need to work.  I saw in the news where the governor is petitioning for more calamity days for schools.  I don't have a problem with it necessarily but I do think some of the schools will cancel at the drop of a hat.  We've been cancelled several times the night before because of the threat of bad weather the next day.  Then the next day comes, the forcast was wrong and the weather is fine.

    Whoo-hoo...snow day for us in WV today....to my knowledge this is only the 3rd or 4th time that WVU has cancelled all its classes for a day in the last 12 years! It is such a blessing because I have so many papers due this week that without this day off I would have been up late most nights this week.

    Currently I'm writing a paper while staring out my back window watching the most picturesque snow fall :)

    Couldn't be happier!

    I was not scheduled to work today, so I am home, but all the schools around here are closed as well. My gym closed, and my yoga studio is also closed, so I am still in my pajamas, watching endless episodes of Criminal Minds. My cat and dog are both in bed:
