3 week growth spurt?

C is 3 weeks 3 days and has been a very calm, non fussy baby until Tuesday. She fussed almost all day yesterday and ate like a pig. Is the fussiness a normal thing with a growth spurt? I just had her at the pediatrician Tuesday morning for a weight check and they looked at her ears and throat which looked fine. They did collect urine on her and did a blood count just to be safe because I mentioned her being irritable.  Which all came back looking great.  I'm probably being overly worried but I want my happy baby back!

Re: 3 week growth spurt?

  • I think there is - I can't remember.  Fussiness and eating a lot can be signs of a growth spurt, especially if they are followed by some sleepy days.  GL!

  • I was going to say pretty much exactly what @botanicalbliss said! Good luck I hope she gets through it soon and returns to her non fussy self!

  • yes, could very well be growth spurt. here are the "guidelines" - Common times for growth spurts are during the first few days at home and around 7-10 days, 2-3 weeks, 4-6 weeks, 3 months, 4 months, 6 months and 9 months (more or less).

Is she fussy all day or certain times?
