I thought work was my safe place...

Someone just came in to visit with their 3-week old baby. And, it's screaming. I'm annoyed.

This.  Is it at least a small office or department that she's coming in with her child to "show off?"

My co-worker did this after her son was born, but we threw a baby shower for her with our company of 12 people. So that's why she was there with him.

Well, she came in to see a particular group of about 5 people, but walked the wailing baby past about 60 of us first.

  • I'm sorry you had to deal with that today. I'm not even TTC/3T, and I would be really annoyed if someone's kid was screaming in the hall while I was trying to work.  %-(  aaannd, I just found a really appropriate emoticon, lol

Ew, that's annoying.  I would never take a 3 week old baby into an office full of people...just think of all of the germs.

It was bad enough for the Mom to have the baby in there but to let it scream while people are trying to work is just rude.

  • Ugh. I'm sorry. Other than upsetting, that would be super annoying to me. I hope the baby doesn't get sick from all the germs floating around from 60+ people. That would be my fear if I were the mom.

  • I took A to my office when she was about 2 months, I wouldn't have brought her sooner, and we only have 8 people who work there. And I know none of them are currently dealing with IF, all have either had kids or are older women who didn't have kids by choice.

I wouldn't have brought her to an office of that size, especially if she was upset. I think that's really inconsiderate. I'm sorry. :(
