So DH and I have a challenge on our hands. We have a new sedan that was perfect for our family of 2 adults, 1 child, and 2 dogs. Now we have another LO on the way (our 2nd and last). Typically our dogs sat in a seat on either side of LO's car seat. Now the only way the car seats fit is one LO on each side leaving a seat in the middle for 1 dog. We aren't sure where we would put dog #2. Does anyone know of any other kind of seat belt we could use that maybe anchors to the floor or something? We want our family to be able to travel safely and another car is not very economical especially since the car is almost paid for. We visit family frequently on the weekends so everyone can run around in my families big yard. Any ideas?
Re: Dog seat belt?
How big are your dogs? They do make "seats" that attach to the center console of the car but this would only work if you had small dogs.
Something like this:

I'm guessing by you asking if there were any harnesses that attach to the floor, that you would mean for the dogs to sit on the floor. Correct me if I am wrong please.
I'm wondering if you could get something like this:

And rig it up to work with the dogs on the floor. Maybe attach it to the bottom of the front seats but I would worry about what would happen in an accident
I don't think they specifically make harnesses for the floor so you might have to modify a regular harness to work for your families needs.
