I had some blood work done last Tuesday. My doctor's nurse called me today with the results. I'm not sure what all they tested for, but the two results she gave me were that my prolactin levels were high and my anti-mullerian levels were low.
I have to have the blood work done again next Thursday (2/6) just to confirm that the levels are correct. She didn't have me fast last time, but this time, I'm supposed to fast. Then I have an apointment on (2/24) to go over everything with her.
The nurse didn't tell me much, but she said that both those levels could be a result of polysistic ovaries.

Re: Bloodwork update
Good luck with your bloodwork. So much can affect the levels (smoking, stress, weight, on and on). And I hope you don't have PCOS.

Bloating

Craving sweets
Emotional
Crying easily
Headaches

Memory problems
Loss of concentration
Loss of motivation
Decreased sex drive
Bowel problems
Menses
Weight increase
Hot flashes/ sweats
Sleep disturbances
Sorry I can't help with anti-mullerian. I'm looking at all the paperwork they gave me and I can't find anything that shows it.
Anti-mullerian is something to do with the ovaries and the remaining follies. But I did google some, and I'm wondering if I misunderstood the nurse. Everything that I'm reading says that women with polysystic ovaries have high Anti-mullerian hormone values, and that women with few follicles have low values. But I know the nurse mentioned something about polycystic ovaries. I'm not thinking too much about it until my appointment with my actual doctor on the 24th.
That's interesting about the lists of symptons they gave you for high prolactin.

Good for you athlete for not dwelling on it until your appointment.
