  Caffeine has no effect on me, so I never really drank coffee or soda, I have the occasional cup of tea, but Alan is seriously addicted to caffeine and when me was weaning himself off he used cinnamon pills to avoid the headaches and such.   I think I gave it up during stims or at ER. I never really drank a ton though, just a cup of coffee in the mornings and often a 12 oz soda later in the day. Actually, I might not have even given up the soda. Are you a coffee drinker? If so, have you tried half caf for a while rather than cold turkey?

  I just decided to stop one day and did. maybe switch to decaf and see how that goes. it stll has some caffeine in it but it might help you make the transition

  I gave it up when I started stims too. But I did ivf during the summer (teacher) so I didn't need it as badly!

  I haven't given it up entirely, but I did switch to tea in the morning and then decaf tea. I still get my caffeine fix from chocolate. I don't know if I could give that up entirely.

  I've been doing half-caff for a while now, but I am starting my first IVF cycle and I'm thinking it's time to give it up.  My doctor isn't too strict about it though, she just says no more than 1 cup a day.

  No experience, but could you go half-caf and try to cut back slower instead of cold turkey?

  Yeah, my intention was to do half caff. But it's pretty much go time and I procrastinated. I am so tired without it.
  
  I think Saturday will be Day 1. Ugh....

  I gave it up (99% of the time) after about 18 months of TTC when we were doing Clomid/IUI cycles on the advice of my acu and along with all his other diet recomendations.

  My RE had me give it up when I started Lupron.  All caffeine, including chocolate.  The coffee wasn't a big deal because I just drank decaf but giving up chocolate was reeeaalllyyy hard.  Good luck to you!
