  Yes, it really was that much worse!  Basically, all of the things I enjoyed about The Coincidence were gone in Redemption.  I thought Sorensen did such a good job of dealing with all of the issues she introduced and did a good job of moving the plot along in Coincidence, but there was none of that in Redemption.  I even found that I started disliking characters that I had really liked previously.  It was just so angsty and I felt like it didn't really move along until the last 15-20% of the book.  I also thought she tried to deal with too many issues.  It was like every character had an insane amount of baggage and I just wasn't happy with how she resolved some things.

  Ugh.  Thanks for the honest review.  I'll probably still read it, but with much lower expectations.
