Started up an Etsy shop

I figured I like to make baby blankets. I made several for Lily. And I have a lot of different fabrics. So I started an Etsy shop. I've only got two blankets finished and posted. But I tried to post a link with available fabrics since I will take custom orders. I also made a Facebook page for it. Hope I can make a little money on the side. I was inspired by Am!

That's great! The two of you are inspiring me, but I have no idea what to sell since I don't have a sewing machine. How do you ladies know what to set your prices at? I definitely need to make some money somehow.

Well my prices will fluctuate based on the blanket. Different fabrics are going to cost me different prices. Minky fabrics are super soft but almost twice what a basic cotton fabric is. So those will cost more. I just did a search on Etsy of baby blankets to get a good idea of what the asking price was and then I looked at what my costs were to determine what my asking price should be. Both blankets for sale right now are actually *discounted* or at a lower asking price than what I will normally ask since the edges are slightly uneven. I trimmed them when I was pinning but somehow ended up way off. The blankets I made for Lily were much better, but I don't want to sell any of those. Lol.

Later I'm going to add to the store. Burp clothes and maybe even clothes. But blankets and burp clothes are super easy and not too time consuming. I've been checking the clearance fabrics when I go to the store trying to save money on the blankets I'm making. I need to go to the store again this week to get some more blankets made.
