I'm guessing this is the new trend?
ETA: I think its nice to throw a congratulations shower, but a baby shower for the grandma? I'm not sure I like that part of the idea.

ETA And I'm thinking more of a "congrats you're a grandma were having a potluck/going out for drinks" not "here's a bunch of gifts that may never get used to keep at your house".

Some ladies at my moms work (that I don't even know) bought C gifts and gave them to mom, but they are for C not for mom. My mom has a pack and play at her house and that's not even just for C but because they do foster care.
The only person who has stuff for C besides us is DH Gma who is going to be our sitter. And she bought it all for herself.
Culture now is so entitled and gift grabby..
