Concern or no?

For the last two days I've had short intermittent sharpish pains on the left side of my "bump". Like below my belly button to the left. At first I thought it was constipation, but I took care of that. This doesn't feel like the ligament pain I've had before. I've also been feeling flutters at night for almost a week now. Do you think it's related to feeling baby start moving, or should I give the office a call?

Re: Concern or no?

  • Hmm my best guess is RLP or just where baby is hanging out in your ute. It could also be from movement... No one told me movement could be uncomfortable, painful or make me feel bruised from inside.
Congrats to my TTC buddy Madeline! Cheering for all the strong 3T ladies!

  • ^^ ok so no one told me movement could be uncomfortable too. Good to know.

  • I would say it's probably nothing to worry about. I've had strange pains but I try not to worry about them but just pay attention to make sure they go away and don't persist.

  • If you are worried you can always put a call in to your OB for peace of mind, but it sounds normal to me. I am a small framed person and my bump was always small. When C started moving all around I had all sorts of new aches and pains. Her movement was very uncomfortable to me at times.

  • I've been experiencing the same thing; it's like a sharp but not very strong pain, if that makes any sense. Also on my left side.  I figured it was either LO or gas.  I'm not concerned, but will mention it to my OB at my next appointment. I haven't had any flutters, but that's how most people describe the first movements they feel.

  • I agree probably RLP. I've decided everything can be uncomfortable during pregnancy....sneezing, peeing, sex, walking...haha
  • Sounds normal to me.  Sometimes RLP is very painful when you are about to have a growth spurt, and LO's kicks and jabs are hard sometimes!

  • Thanks, it's mostly just for peace of mind. They've actually stopped but my ute growing again makes sense. I have an appt on Wednesday so I'll let them know then just to be safe, but I'm thinking it's normal too.
