  • We aren't in any danger of getting snowed in, but here is what we normally do:

    Make breakfast
    Throw snowballs at the dogs
    Have the sex
    Nap
    Have the sex again
    Make chili
    Watch Law and Order

  • Unfortunately, there's no hope of any snow here :(( but if there was, I can say that without a doubt, we'd go out driving around in it just to look at stuff, then probably make some comfort/cold weather food and work on projects in the house/watch some TV

  • If we get snowed in tomorrow, here's my plans.

    - Finish the door I'm working on.
    - Rip up the tile to the fireplace.
    - Clean out/ organize the downstairs closet.
    - Drink lots of coffee.
    - Cook something halfway decent for dinner.
    - Run

If H gets snowed in (which rarely ever happens), then we'll have some sexy time and watch movies.

  • I think I need to stop at the supermarket on the way home. All I have in my house is half a bag of doritos and string cheese. Usually we
    -make homemade pizza
    - watch a zillion movies and cat up on DVR
    - laundry
    - snuggle with the pup
    - drive around early on and check out the country scenery.

  • My work will never shut down. The bldg has flooded and they were open the following day. Employees had to show that they worked there to get through barricades in the community. And we don't make anything or do anything that important.

But if I were snowed in, I would probably watch the entire season of top chef.

I should stop by the store tonight to make sure we have sufficient snow day junk food!

  • DH works from home, so I will probably get breakfast in bed and watch trashy TV til I feel motivated enough to get up and relocate to the living room, where I will watch more trashy TV in front of the pellet stove.  Unfortunately, my step son's mother refuses to drive in any amount of snow so he will probably be staying with us an extra day/night, which is fine, but it means we can't have all the sex. Bummer.

  • We don't ever get snow days; closest thing is opening an hour or two late.

But, if we were to ever get one, I'm pretty sure I'd sleep, like a lot, because I never get to.  I think we'd also watch movies or a tv show marathon while cuddling on the couch.

  • Every school around us is closed. I don't know why our superintendent waits until 5am the next day. I feel bad for parents who have to scramble for daycare.
Anyway, we are supposed to get a ton tomorrow, so I will sleep in, snuggle with the pups, grade, and watch Netflix. I have Wish Upon a Star in my instant queue! If I can find another good book to read, I'll start that, too.

  • I just had a snow day yesterday, and now one tomorrow most likely. My plan is to do schoolwork for much of the day. I will probably do some laundry too. If the weather clears in time my great aunt's funeral is tomorrow evening so we will be going to that, but there are several mountains between our home and the services, so that is doubtful.

  • There's a fairly good chance we'll get snowed in tomorrow; if we do, I'll be napping a lot and watching a bunch of TV.

  • I can dream...

But if it were true and DH wasn't here, I'd:
    - Watch Doctor Who
    - Run outside in the snow with the dog who hates getting wet but loves snow
    - Organize all the crap
    - Clean

If DH was here, the list above, minus the Doctor Who, plus a few sprinklings of the sex.

  • We get snow, but I never get a snow day.  This weekend we got enough snow to not be able to leave the driveway without shoveling the hump from the plow, and this is what we did:

    - Painted all of the new interior doors
    - Caulked and painted trim

    - Laundry

    - Watched TV

    - Shoveled

    - Made pulled chicken sandwiches

    - I juiced a bunch of green things

    - More shoveling

    - Cuddled on the couch

  • I got a text from my boss this morning telling me to stay home! This is my first snow day in many many years. My old job had an ego and thought the world couldn't revolve without them. Not only was that not true, but they actually had the ability to redirect the phones and processing to another of the hundreds of branches across the country. Everyday I find a new reason I love my new job.

  • This morning was a nightmare!!

We got iced. I listened to branches snapping off the monstrous pine tree in our front yard since the wee hours this morning. And our power is out.

I got up at 6 (thank god for a phone alarm) to get ready for work as usual, and was going to try to check my work e-mail to see if we were opening late or anything, but oh hey, the power was out, so I couldn't get my laptop online! And I couldn't for the life of me remember the extension to call my voicemail directly to see if there was a broadcast message. After getting dressed and washing my face by candlelight (because I couldn't even do my makeup or straighten my hair without power), I finally decided to try and access my work e-mail from my phone. They must have changed something, because I can now, and found out we were, in fact, opening 2 hours late.

By the time I left for work, my house was 58 degrees. The power had better be back on when I get home.

And I totally brought my straightener to work and did my hair in the bathroom!
