Re: Manic Monday

  • Maybe I'll start with lows: Saturday night we were finally getting a new tv.  While in best buy I started getting really sharp stabbing pains in my lower right abdomen.  It was definitely not gas, etc.  After an hour and a half of it - I called the OB on call... she suggested going to the ER to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.  So I was really scared.  I went to Christiana since we were right beside it.  Poor Jeff had been up for 24 hours with a 1 hour nap.

Now for the highs: baby H is snug where he/she should be.  Measuring on time at 7 weeks, and a HB of 150.  Nothing on my ovaries, everything is ok.  They ruled out appendix, gall bladder etc, and the pain finally eased up.  It woke me up a few times that night, but nothing so far today.  I really don't know what it was, but I hope it stays away!

  • Oh no @mana8503! Hopefully you can get some rest during the snow today. Yay for the baby being okay!

Highs: I'm finally over this stupid strep throat. We're doing a lot of reorganizing since the pool table should be getting picked up today if the snow doesn't stop the delivery people.

Lows: I'm going bonkers with all these snow days. DH and A have been home more than not and have completely disrupted mine and M's day to day activities. That's not so much a low from this weekend, but they are both home today. I just yelled at DH because he way he was chewing his breakfast is annoying me. I need a vacation from my house.

  • weekend high: haircut, nails done, lots of time to relax....and we got the nursery emptied!!! so next step is new carpet

weekend low: a little issue between my mom and younger sister yesterday and I was a hormonal mess and couldn't deal with any of it. I freaked on both of them and then went and laid in bed and told Ben he had to deal with everything.

@mana8503 did they suggest RLP (round ligament pains). its just basically stabbing pains you get as everything starts stretching and moving.

I'm so glad everything is okay though and baby is snug in there.

good for you though for trusting yourself and going to the hospital. its hard to know if what you're feeling is normal or not and its better to be safe than sorry.

  • YAYA @amcourt09 for making the move!!! are you guys sleeping there or waiting to make the full move until you've got some painting done and such?

They didn't say anything about that, but I've experienced RLP when I stand sometimes or sneeze.  I would be sitting perfectly still and it still happened.  It was pretty consistent whether I was sitting, standing... walking... every few minutes I'd get a stab of pain.

I was so scared I was overreacting.  Jeff wouldn't say anything, but my mom told me if the OB said to go, to go.  Yes, I called my mommy haha.

  • Mana....glad everything is ok. :)

Highs...M didn't have a reaction to her shots and we bought a new dishwasher.

Lows...DH had to log in and do some work Friday night. We had plans to watch some shows on DVR and cuddle on the couch. Other then that, it was a good weekend.

  • Mana- just keep drinking water- you can get lots of strange pains from being dehydrated. Whatever it is, I'm glad it's gone!!

Highs: Had a baby shower for a friend and got to see my bffs

Lows: I'm SO over this snow. I'm going to be a very unhappy person when we're making up these days in the spring and summer.
  • @mana8503 - I'm so glad baby is OK!!!

High - The Super Bowl party we went to was tons of fun and my dessert dips were a smash hit!

Low - H studied all day on Saturday and we didn't really hang with each other at the party on Sunday, so we didn't get a lot of QT in this weekend.
