UPDATED: Opinions Needed - Wedding Wear

Ok, so we are going to an evening wedding next Sunday at this place. From the look of the venue, it looks like it's going to be on the formal side, right?

I've got these three dresses to pick from. Which one should I go with? Keep in mind, these are all longer on me and hit me either right at the knee or are calf length.

Option 1 - I'd pear it with a thin gold belt and black heels. This is one that I was considering for New Years so y'all may remember it

Option 2 - This looks cream and black in the photo, but it's really a blush pink and black.

And Option 3 - The fabric on this dress is gorgeous! I'd wear it with silver heals.

I am dying to see the red in real life, but the last one is so chic---is that a jacquard material? It's so gorgeous. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them but I'd go #3, #1, and then #2...

Yeah, I guess it would be considered a jacquard, but it's almost foil like. Here's a close up.

Ooh, I like the way you think!! I do have some purple heels and also some pink heels I can maybe wear. The purple are the ones I wore for our wedding

Ok, so #3 is out of the game unfortunately. I thought a simple take in on the side seams would make it fit better, but it needs a lot more work than that, so it's being returned

I really wanted that dress to work, but it just wont. Boo!

I'm not 100% sold on the other two either. I don't think I feel comfortable enough to wear the red one to a wedding, especially because I don't know the couple. I know the wife of the best man and asked her opinion and she advised against it too. The blush and black one is probably the front runner right now.

Since I'm returning the silver one, I saw this one I can exchange it for. What do you all think of it?

I don't see a problem with wearing red to a wedding. My godmother and one of my friends both wore red to my wedding. I didn't see a problem with this what so ever...it never even crossed my mind.

I'd say any color, except white, is fine for a wedding. Unless the bride isn't wearing white, then whatever color the bride is wearing is off limits.

I love the new dress. But, in case you still were thinking red, two people wore red dresses to my wedding. I could care less. The only way I'd question wearing red was if I was going to a Chinese friend's wedding since that is typically a color the bride wears.

Besides our bridal party, you couldn't pay me to tell you if anyone was wearing red. I had no concept of what people were wearing.

I didn't really notice what people were wearing until I watched our video! Even then, I really didn't care what people were wearing as long as they a) weren't naked, b) weren't wearing jeans / were ridiculously underdressed....luckily, neither of those situations happened LOL.

I know I'm probably over thinking it. One of my biggest faults is being too concerned about what others think of my appearance. And because I won't really know anyone there, I am extra worried about it.

I just talked to the best mans wife and she said the groomsmen are wearing tuxes, so I definitely need to stick with some more elegant.

@ystaalenburg I know it's always uncomfortable going to an event where you know no one but I just have to add that you are beautiful and will absolutely ROCK any one of those options! You can pull off that red one and if I saw you at a wedding I would probably just be jealous of how amazing you looked :-) (hope this doesn't come off as creepy LOL)

I am jealous of all your clothes. I want them all. And I want places to wear them.

I vote red dress. Red is perfectly fine to wear to a wedding, and will probably look awesome with your dark hair!
