Home Depot is totally on my shit list right now

We bought a new washer and dryer and had it installed on Saturday. I noticed it smelled down there on Saturday but the guy told me that was normal since the line had been shut off by the previous owners so there was a build up? I don't know anything about anything and Shawn wasn't here so I didn't think anything of it. Flash forward to this morning, I asked Shawn to look at the dryer when he got home because I ran a load of towels through 3 times and they still weren't dry. He goes to look at it and noticed that the gas valve was turned off. He turns it back on and starts the dryer. Within minutes our entire house smelled like gas! Those little Home Depot fuckers had cracked our line, noticed they cracked it, and just shut the valve off to stop the gas from leaking out without telling me!! WTF! Did you think we would never notice?! I'm so livid right now that I'm shaking.

  • No. Shawn wanted to handle this. I heard him talking to the Home Depot girl and he was saying "uh well yea..whenever you can come out" So I screamed "No!! You come out ASAP!!" And I made him call the gas company which he thought was overkill. I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to gas...especially with T in the house.

So I went on a Twitter rampage and when I went to attack FB, guess what? They have their comments blocked! You can't comment on their wall...so I commented on a bunch of the pictures that they posted. This would be me!! I can't believe that they did that!!!

Who is fixing the cracked gas line?

  • @klm42404 - the gas company came out last night to check it and said it was Home Depot's responsibility. They turned our gas off and checked outer house. Said it was safe for us to be here but with that gas line turned off, I can't cook on our gas stove or do laundry....

WTH??? I'm mad for you. I'd be getting someone else to fix it and giving home depot the bill. I'd want a professional dealing with a gas line.

You should send Home Depot your restaurant/takeout bills.
