AW- pet related.

Can I AW Ginger just a second?
(Please ignore the dirty house)

Every day the mailman will leave dog bones in the mailbox if Ginger isn't outside. Today I brought them in and sat them on the coffee table.
I gave her one after she did a few tricks and then left the other on the coffee table.
Ginger knows she isn't allowed to get anything off the table. (We can seriously leave a plate of food on the coffee table and walk away and she won't touch it.)
Even though Ginger knows the bones are hers, she wouldn't grab it. I sat and watched her as she was sniffing it, I could tell she really wanted it, and then she sat and then lay(ed?) down and stared at it. As you can see in the picture.
She knows she has to sit and lay to get treats, so that is what she did.
How could I not give it to her?!?!

Do you have any stories to AW from your fur babies?

Re: AW- pet related.

  • Aw, what a well behaved puppy!  Gixxer is the dumbest smart dog I know.  If we leave a plate of food on the table and walk away 9 times out of 10 he won't touch it.  But if I have a plate sitting in front of me at the same table, once in a while he thinks it's okay to just grab something off it.

  • What a good girl!

I wish my cats did tricks. :( lol
  • So freaking cute! I love that we can do this with our dog too. Bring food in one room, leave it there to finish up the rest and he doesn't touch it.

Of course, if it hits the floor that is a whole different story!

  • @islandmonkey8, even if we drop something she won't get it until we call her over and tell her it's ok! It's amazing.

jealous. My family has taught my dog some bad habits. He listens more now when it comes to things dropping, but not as often as he should because of the 8 months he spent with them where they let him eat everything.
