WTF Self- You are going BSC over this inspection next week and there is nothing you can do to change it or make anything better so just simmer the fuck down!! These kids are in love with this house the way you were when you bought it 10 years ago. Nothing would have stopped you from buying that house. Nothing will stop them either.
I get nervous too. It's really funny because Jeff and I pay to get them done, and I do my parent's. I'm still nervous for them!
You are a PITA. First you have called me 2x to remind me of my appt. Why do you need me to call back?? Then I have to fill out all my forms online before my appt. b/c someone at the office can't be bothered to enter it into the computer. Then your forms suck too. if you answer no to a yes or no question, it still requires me to fill in an explanation. How stupid!!! And I got.all the way to the send for it not.to let me enter.the last answer. So annoying

We usually pay to get it done. Last year I tried, but Greg had some weird form from his 401k that I couldn't figure out. This year was fairly simple and our accountant pissed me off last year so I did it myself. I'm pretty sure I did everything right lol. At least turbotax said I did.
My first year doing my parents was hard because they had all these pension/retirement crap then all their 401K rollovers, cash outs... Now it's easier and I know what goes where.
My mom's friend always did theirs, but she was such a procrastinator and it was always getting sent out April 15th. My mom and me can't handle that haha.

All of this tax talk is giving me anxiety....J did a tax simulator the other day and looks like we're going to owe a couple thousand. Less than last year, but still a signifiaicnt amount....so much for the great return I'll get because of the child credit I keep hearing about!
We have Jeff as single withholdings and I have married. We ended up owing $500 federal but we're getting back more than that with state.
The child credit is applied but if you owe more than the credit, it gets applied to your debt. So if everything stays the same for us, and we have the baby, us owing $500 will turn into a $500 return.

lol @ starter marriage. Biomom never worked, so they always gota big refund with being married and 2 kids. Also, Army has some other benefits (income not taxed when in a war zone, housing allowance isn't taxed) so Jeff's taxable income was WAY less than what he brought home. Like by half
They may not be taking enough out if your incomes are really different. They withhold based on the tax bracket for your income (they have no idea what your spouse makes), but when you combine you might be bumped into a higher one - meaning you owe more. It happened to my CW so that's why we left Jeff as single to see where we end up.
That sucks about the ML. I hope it works out and next year is better!
