How are the WW meetings going? I've always just done the online version and it doesn't seem to be doing the trick this time. I was thinking about possibly looking into meetings and wanted to see what you thought.

  • I need the meetings.  Well, not really the meetings, I need to get weighed in front of a stranger.  I feel like I could probably be a leader at this point, I KNOW exactly what to do to lose weight, but most of the time I just don't do it.  But, when I know I have a weigh in coming up I am able to control myself so much more. Not that they'd ever say anything negative to you if you have a gain, but I don't want to be the person who gains every.single.week.  I did the online version a year or two ago and I sucked at it - because I'm not disciplined. If I knew I was bad, I'd skip that weigh in and promise to do it tomorrow.    It's also nice to learn some new ideas and new low point foods that you may not have known about.   And it's silly, but it's nice to raise your hand at the beginning when you've had a loss and get a sticker and everyone claps for you.  It's like going back to kindergarten, but for some reason it is such a motivator!  

    Also, if you are going to meetings and you feel like you're doing what you should but aren't losing, you can have someone look over your log and they can see maybe what you're doing wrong, or where you can tweak it to see better results.   It really does help me a lot and I would definitely recommend trying it.  Even if you only do the monthly pass once - just going for a month might get you back on track better than doing it online/alone.  Let me know if you have any other questions!  Hope that helped!
