Is this what I have to look forward to? (school projects)
Dd had a small project to do for preschool. She did the whole thing by herself (the writing and the gluing). We get to school today and the other projects I saw look 90% parent made. Dd's project looks like a 4 year old made it. Which I think is great, because she is 4! So, is this what I have to look forward to in grade school? All school projects need to be made by adults to pinterest perfection?
Re: Is this what I have to look forward to? (school projects)
We just had to do a 100 days of school project for daycare. I helped Mason along, but he did most of it himself. When I saw the other projects though, some of them were a little ridic. At that age, I get that the parents will be helping them a lot, but the kid should do more than just watch you do it for them!
This has always been going on though, I don't think it's anything new. I remember in 3rd grade having to make a volcano. I made mine out of homemade playdoh. I used food coloring to color it, but it turned out looking like an avocado green volcano with peach colored lava. When we displayed them, mine was next to this paper mached volcano, that was cut in half so you could see each layer of the volcano, which happened to be intricately painted and labeled. It also actually smoked and erupted a lava type substance. My volcano looked like it's drunk cousin. I was really embarrassed, obviously, since it's 30 years later and I still remember! lol!
