Work Vent - How many days till mat leave?
Work is seriously pissing me off. Between lack of management getting involved when they should be and backstabbing and asskissing among the staff I am just sick of it. We had our regular staff meeting yesterday and the whole time it was monopolized by one girl who only works overnights...so only ever actually deals clients for about 10% of her shift telling us that we on the afternoon shift don't know how to do our jobs and that's why we have issues with clients...also try and tell us that one of our clients who we have busted selling drugs "isn't selling drugs and you guys are just judging him"....and that the problem with our shift isn't that we have been short staffed for a month but that we just don't know how to do our job as good as she could do it.
Same person posts very unprofessional stuff about work on FB publicly all the time. At the last staff meeting she tried to call me out specifically about something I wrote in our incidents saying it didn't belong there....funny thing is how management didn't have an issue with it being there because it was information that was pertinent to the incident...but because it referred to something that had happened on her shift she was trying to cover her ass and say it never happened (FWIW I did specify that I was not there when writing it up.....that people could take or leave that information but that it was related to the incident that I was reporting and relayed to me by clients).
I can't talk to her about it because shes a big baby and thinks she can do no wrong and that everyone else is always at fault (how someone like that gets a job working with at risk/emotionally unstable people I Have no idea), and I can't talk to management because they take 0 responsibility and every time anyone has gone to them about staff problems, they tell us to "deal with it ourselves" and won't take a stand and nothing changes.
Today I would be taking a mental health day because I am beyond pissed and in no mood to be helpful to clients (probably what kept me awake all night) but I need the hours so I can get my mat leave...maybe pregnancy hormones are making it seem worse then it is, but its been weeks of this same person trying to throw my shift under the bus and I am sick of it and sick of management not managing.
