Thyroid disease related to infertility?

Hi! I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and was wondering if anyone else here has thyroid disease and has had it linked to infertility or making it hard to get pregnant? Although the doctor's haven't been able to tell me whether the two are related or not, I'm feeling that it could be a good part of the reason why I have gotten pregnant yet :/

    I also have Hashimoto's and have tried to get pregnant for the last 14 months. The first 6 months of which, my thyroid levels were not in range and my cycles were anywhere from 45-60 days. Now my levels are within range and my cycles are around 30-50 days.
    I believe my long cycles were attributed to the thyroid issue, and my OBGYN firmly believed that the thyroid issue was why I was not getting pregnant.

    i spoke to my RE about this this morning actually (i have hashimoto's). he said that in italy they do believe it to be related. he, however, isn't as convinced, though he does feel it is important for levels to be within range. 

    that said, my thyroid medication was something i didn't take very often prior to getting pregnant or during pregnancy. the odd thing is that when they tested my thyroid levels during pregnancy they were always fine. i'm convinced my thyroid levels fluctuate and that i don't always fall in to the range that requires medication. i have no symptoms. 

    my RE had my levels tested this morning so i guess i will see what he says when he calls with the results. i haven't taken my thyroid med for god knows how long.

    I am still in the process of being diagnosed with a thyroid disorder (apparently I am a complicated case). Both my OB and my Endo think my inability to conceive is related to my thyroid.

    I haven't really researched it myself, but it seems as thought most REs want your thyroid in normal range before starting treatment. (This was the case for me)
