Bear's first party
so i've been super busy at work and it seems maybe I forgot to mention that when I was in Ohio this weekend my family threw Bear and me a baby shower!!
I'm always suprised by the love my family has to offer and how giving they are. Since I don't see them often I alway expect they won't want to really do much for me, but they always do:) Saturday I had my best friends baby shower to attend so they did a brunch yesterday morning for me before we left town. I have lots of pictures but they're still on my camera since we didn't get home until 11 last night. oh and the food! we had chicken salad on croisants and fresh fruits and this yummy salad with goat cheese and carmalized onions....my mouth is watering. I ate two different kinds of desert and they were well worth getting a little talking to at my doctors appt. this morning. smart Andrea, eat mass amounts of food and sweets before you go get weighed. but they can shove it since I've only gained 9lbs so far. anyways back to the party.
He did get a lot of good stuff too! since we were driving back I requested small gifts or anything large be sent to the house instead of being at the shower for me to open. My grandparents got me my travel system, my mom got me my monitor and the cutest rocking horse!, and everyone brought a book instead of a card to start off Bear's library....and so many other goodies:) too many to name.
the nursery isn't really coming along. I've selected the new carpet and need to get that measured/ordered/installed ASAP so I can start setting up Bear's room. currently it is stuffed with the baby items we dumped in there last night when we unloaded the car.
Oh and my sister sent me home with 3 black trash bags full of baby clothes all the way up to 2T and a tupperware full of shoes, so that was awesome!

we didn't really. my family didn't know what we are planning on naming the little guy so I didn't have to deal with too much bear stuff....although with boys it seems there is a lot of bear gear out there

That is crap they gave you grief over your weight gain! You have worked out more than any other pregnant woman I know and you look amazing. I would have looked at them like htey were crazy.
But so exciting for a the new baby bear stuff! I love going through baby stuff when any of my friends are expecting. Its so relaxing.
