Do you and DH celebrate Valentines day?

Not really. We don't go out and we don't exchange gifts. We are probably just going to have a nice dinner at home and Netflix a movie this year. LOL we're boring.

Yes, we do. We usually get each other a small something and go to dinner. This year H was going to surprise me with a weekend away (He told me we were going to do a weekend away, just not where), but we're supposed to be getting a decent amount of snow tonight/tomorrow, and the place he was going to take me is getting a lot, so we're not going to go anymore...I don't think.

He said his presents for me are going to make me sh** a brick. haha. I got him a t-shirt from this car gathering and a topographical map of the smokies.

We make dinner at home and do small gifts. I love to cook so I really try to make a fancy gourmet dinner for us on Valentine's. We would go out but his birthday is Feb 28 and we usually go out for that instead--less of a crowd.

Not in more recent years. Since we're both February babies (he's the 4th, I'm the 28th), we opt on celebrating that instead. Valentines Day this year will be spent doing our Sams Club run and maybe getting dinner if every restaurant isn't packed.

H tries to do something nice for me. Last year he took me out for a wine pairing dinner. It was really fancy. We went the day before so it wasn't too crazy. This year, I just want to sleep on a Friday night, so we might go somewhere nice-ish on Sunday since we're both off Monday. He keeps asking me what I want, but I have no idea.

This year, like most years, we're just staying home. I find restaurant prices to be outrageous on Valentine's Day! I can make the same thing at home for much less. I actually tell H NOT to buy me flowers on Valentine's Day. I don't really like the stereotypical red roses and it seems like Valentine's Day flowers die more quickly than ones bought at other times of the year.

He's lucky he missed leap year!

We usually go out to dinner and give each other gifts. Our first VDay together, H told me he loved me for the first time, so that day holds a special place in my heart. This year, we have my stepdaughters, so we are all going to dinner together and we got them some chocolates, a huge heart shaped lollipop and a stuffed animal. We're not exchanging gifts with each other this year, but I might make H a coupon book if I get around to it.

Usually we do something nice at home and exchange cards. Sometimes DH gets me flowers. This year, we're splurging and going out to eat because we're both so drained from TTC that we decided to treat ourselves.

We have a tradition of homemade pizza on V-Day. We buy fancy ingredients and a few bottles of wine. I'm not sure if we are planning this on Friday since I don't do any of the shopping anymore B-)

Yes & no. We'd started dating on February 10th, so our first Valentine's Day, it felt like doing anything serious would be kind of crazy and moving too fast, so he made baked mac and cheese and we watched 'Casablanca', which I'd never seen. The next year we were broke but wanted to celebrate our anniversary and Valentine's Day so we decided to recreate the same first Valentine's Day. We still do the same thing, although we switch up the movie.

That's our first date too

Now we just combine them and do both on Valentine's.

I've made us dinner for all our Vdays together, so I'll be doing that again. He gets me a charm for my Pandora bracelet and I sometimes get him a gift, but his bday is Feb 6, so often his gifts are lumped onto either day.

We usually do, but not on Valentine's Day. We usually go out a few days before or after. Restaurants are so crowded on Valentine's Day, I don't feel you get the best quality food or service.

We aren't exchanging gifts this year, just cards.

We normally just go out for a nice meal and exchange cards. In the last he had picked up flowers and brought them to me at work. This year we are actually going out the day after valentines day to our wedding venue. Another couple we are close with got married at the same place so we are all going together. They are doing a dinner and dancing event so it should be nice. Now I just have to hope I can stay awake past 9 pm!!!
