WIALT: The Crimson Crown (Seven Realms #4)(series SPOILERS and to about 2/3 through this book)

YOU GUYS!  I've listened to this whole series over the last couple of months, and with this book, I never want to get out of my car!  I sat in my driveway for about 45 minutes yesterday when I got home from work, and sat in my car for 15 when I got to work this morning!  I have such a book crush on Han.  I feel like throughout the series, as they've been talking about Hanalea and Alger Waterlow's story, I've had a pretty good idea of where this plot was going to go, but I am loving the way that it's all coming together.

The part I'm at now, Han and Raisa were just making out in the greenhouse now that Han finally told her how he really feels and what his plan is.  I adored the scene where Willow and Dancer went to the wizard council meeting and confronted Behar, and I am dying to see the Behar family fall.  Now that the stuff about Lucius being the one who betrayed Alger came out, though, I'm just trying to figure out who the Lucius character is in this story - who is going to betray Han and Raisa?  Aaaaaahhhhhh, I just want to go sit in my car and listen to the rest of it!  THANK YOU to everyone who recommended this series!

PS, I may have just spelled everyone's names wrong, because I'm listening to it, but you know what I mean.

  • OMG!  I need to say something, and it technically won't spoil anything, but I still won't say it until you finish.

    OMG.

I loved this series so much. I hate you for getting to read it for the first time.

  • Stay tuned, I really want to hear what you need to say, but I'll hate you forever if you spoil it for me.  Thank you for holding out!  I'll be done in the next couple of days.  I'm on disc 10/15 now.
  • This is one of my favorite series EVER.  The final book is so amazing and a great ending to a fantastic series.

One of my all time favorite final books in a series, and I am totally jealous of anyone experiencing it for the first time.

You're right, it was a tough start for me.  Wizards and clans and magic and all of that are just not usually my style, but I got really attached to the characters somewhere during the first book.  There are still the same little nit-picky things about the series and the writing that bug me here and there, but I think a lot of what convinced me to pick it up in the first place and certainly to stay with it was that so many NBCers said that this last book was probably the best series ending they had read, which is HUGE coming from you guys.  You were all right, and I'm not even done yet.
  • I love how excited you are about the series now!  I adored this series.
