Overwhelmed

Ugh, hubby has a broken arm, my house is a disaster, I'm totally sick and I just can't do everything. Yesterday we tried putting the stroller in the car and it didn't really fit and now I think I need a new car. Maybe not right away but pretty quickly. The guy I'm mentoring at work needs more time and attention than I can give him. I'm just feeling totally overwhelmed. To top it off I was having contractions last night and I finally called in to my high risk, preterm prevention nurse and she walked me through some steps to reduce and count contractions or 2 hours. I have no idea how STMs do this, or single moms. Thanks for listening.

Re: Overwhelmed

  • I hope tomorrow is a better day. Life can definitely be overwhelming at times, especially with everything you have going on, but it'll be okay. ((Hugs))

  • I'm sorry *hugs* life can just be overwhelming at times. If the house stays a little messy that will be okay. You may not be able to do it all and that is okay as well. Prioritize and take it step by step. You can do this!

  • I hope you are feeling better now.  It is totally overwhelming, and sometimes when we are used to being superwoman, we just have to take a step back and realize, we need a nap!  Can you hire a cleaning service and cut out some of your other errands by ordering from Fresh Direct (or the California equivalent).

  • Ugh, that day was such a disaster.  I just kept doing everything, put the strollers together, cleaned the house, went shopping.  The night ended with me having contractions and on the phone with the emergency nurse for hours.  Luckily I was just dehydrated and tired and it turned out fine but I'm definitely not going to push it anymore.  DH's arm is also feeling better so he's able to help a bit more.

PinkinProvence Yes, I will be hiring a cleaning person next time.
