Are there any Disney on Ice experts out there?

I thought it would be fun take the girls to Disney on Ice. I see there are crazy expensive VIP seating. What makes it vip? Do you get to meet the characters?

I've never been to a show like that at the Consol (only hockey games). Can you see pretty well from all sections or are there any sections to stay away from?

I was able to get $12 tickets for opening night! Not sure if the password is still valid, but the one I had in my email was CONSOL. Not sure about the seats there, I've never been to Consol either. I'm excited to go!

Something to keep in mind if you get seats way up in front....... My mom insisted on getting the other year (not VIP) and yes the characters are right there..... but it is also VERY loud right in the front.

The first year we went with our daycare and had seats way up top. You could see fine and DD still loved it but I think a little closer woul dbe better. We got on the side last year just a few rows up (again not VIP) and it was way more enjoyable. Yes louder. Even if you sit on sides, the characters perform to all sides of the audience not just right in front of you.

We've gone a few times and usually sit higher up with the peons!

We've never had trouble with seeing them or it keeping the kids attention. I think you'll have a lot of fun!

Opening night tickets are always $12. They still had some available the other night. They end up being $17 orvso after fees and they had a few higher seats left. Last year, we sat in row G on the lower level and it was great.

We are actually going to Johnstown. I know they have $12 seats left!!

What age did everyone start taking their kids to things like this? I think Logan would love it, but I worry about his attention span and the possible meltdown when he realizes he can't hug the characters.

I think we first took Madi at 3. Even last year at 4 her attention span was so-so. She loved the first act but after internission, it lost its luster.

I think it depends a lot on the personality of the kid; I would have never dared take Jake to something like this at Liam's age (2.5) but we're taking Liam in March and I think he will do fine. How does Logan do at the shows at Disney, Sarah?
