Throat Punches for Everyone!
This might get long, but I know a lot of you have been here before, so here's a vent for you.
Today is my due date. I'm sad I don't have my baby yet, but whatever. I feel mostly fine so I can't really complain about that. But if I have to listen to more people say crap about it, I'm going to flip out. Yes I'm still at work, does it fucking look like I had my baby over night? Oh SIL, you're going to text me "anything yet?" for real? I promise, we didn't forget to tell immediate family that we had a kid. I'll let you know. Oh MIL, you're going to stand in my kitchen as ask me how dilated I was at the Dr's appointment? How is your cervix looking these days? Oh Dad, you think this baby doesn't want to come out because it knows you're waiting to come down from Wisconsin to help us out. I forgot that it's all about you. My bad. Maybe if this had all waited until my due date instead of started 3 freakin weeks ago I'd have more patience for your bullshit. Don't think I won't implement a no visitors policy. I will. If you don't find out that your grandkid/niece or nephew was born until it's a week old, I swear it was on purpose because you're driving me fucking crazy. WE WON'T FORGET TO TELL YOU THAT A HUMAN CAME OUT OF ME.

And when she couldn't get a hold of me, she'd continue to try to call to see if I was in labor. You know if you couldn't get me the first time, maybe there was a reason like I was in labor so why keep trying to call?!
Ok, sorry about making this about me - just trying to commiserate. And it's easy enough to stop answering the phone, but it still doesn't stop people from trying to contact you other ways or change the fact that people at work are still going to continue with the stupid questions.
