qod 2/14

What was the most romantic thing your H has done?
"Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly"

Re: qod 2/14

  • For our first Christmas together H bought me a pillow for his place, so I'd have my own and change totaling the number of days we'd be together. He's a quirky romantic like that.

  • The week of our wedding he drove up the hour away to my job with beautiful flowers with a note that said "Can't wait to marry you in 4 days!"

  • @invane00 my H and I used to do that all the time when we were dating. And now he will do it when we are in the kitchen cooking sometimes.

Our first Valentine's together H picked me up and had flowers. Then he took me to the movies to see Valentine's Day and then to my favorite restaurant. Then we went back to his place where he had flower petals (fake of course) all over the floor which went to a little pinic on the floor where he had wine and chocolates and strawberries.

Also when we first starting dating he cooked dinner for me. I think it was amazing because I am super picky and no one cooks for me. It was super simple hot dogs and salad and I made dessert but it was more about the thought.
  • I had a real craptastic day at work right after we moved in together and I got home for work he had a bubble bath drawn, a glass of wine poured and ordered in dinner.

  • Romance? What's that? lol

My husband isn't really a romantic, at all. And to be honest, I don't much care. I'm honestly sitting here trying to think of SOMETHING, and i've got nothin.

The biggest "surprise" he ever gave me (which i guess could kind of be romantic?), was we started seeing each other 3 weeks before I went to Europe for a month. We literally had 3 dates before I left (as we were long distance and only saw each other the 3 saturday's before i left), and we emailed back and forth while I was gone, and then I got home on a Monday night. We talked on the phone on Tuesday, and then I was waiting for him to cal me on the Thursday after he was done work, well the phone rang, and we were chatting, and then my doorbell rings, and he had driven the 2.5 hours to see me. He showed up about 7 (which means he ditched work early) and left at Midnight.

  • He always sends me cute messages when we are apart always make me blush and feel loved :). Also every so often there will be a song playing and we will just dance :)

  • Last valentines weekend DH booked us a room at a hotel with a GORGEOUS indoor pool/spa area and didn't tell me until the day of. I hate winter, and was working a lot and so when we got there and just got to sit around in the hottub and relax it was definitely one of the more romantic/special memories of the recent past.
  • A month after we started dating DH planned out a whole weekend of a activities. It involved a home made dinner, a carriage ride, and kayaking.
