S/O marriage post... Love language
I mentioned this is my reply.. have y'all ever done the Love Language test? The book is written from a Christian perspective, but even if you don't follow that faith, I strongly recommend you (and your H! Heck, I made my whole family do it) do the test because it's valuable information, regardless of what you believe! It's a great way to see how you and your DH differ in how you feel loved. My results are no surprise to me! DH's #1 is acts of service so I am still trying to figure out how to do that more. It's hard when your H's love language(s) is so different!

I was surprised how many times I chose something physical over anything else. Also, surprised how many gift questions there were! I never expect DH to shower me in gifts. I'd probably be a little uncomfortable if he did.

But yeah, some were definitely 'no'.
Mine was very strong physical touch and quality time. I am interested to see what H would be. I might do it again starting with my wording substitute to see if it changes at all.
